Safari lengths
Depending on how much time you want to spend in our magical park, we offer different lengths of safari journeys.
Full Day Safari
Safari 06:00 am – 06:00 pm
Pick up approx. 04:30 am
Drop off approx. 06:45 pm
the longer you stay in our park, the more animals you will see. We recommend a full day safari, especially if you want to see the leopard or the sloth bear.

Sunrise is a magical moment in the park, where animals start their day and you see most movement in the wilderness.

While most animals rest in the afternoon, at the golden hour of sunset when the air is cooler, the animals begin their evening.

The standard safari will take place in Yala National Park Block 1. That is where most animals are seen, but also most Jeeps enter.
Depending on which animals or what scenery you want to focus on, another location migth be of more interst.

Yala National Park Block 1
In Block 1 you get to see most animals, such as Leopards, Elefants, Crocodiles. Theres open fields, rock formations and lakes, where animals come to drink.
Yala National Park Block 2
This Block is for you, if you want the ultimate offroad 4×4 experience. You enter dense jungles and follow the river downstream to the ocean.
Yala National Park Block 5
Block 5 is a remote and lesser-visited part of the National Park, with a dense jungle, big lakes and the famous water dam “Weheragale”, where eagles hunt and deer come to drink water.
Bundala National Park
Bundala is frequently visited by big herds of elefants, the wetlands are a safe habitat for a big variety of birds. If your focus lies in birds, this is your park. As the park lies next to the ocean, you get to experience magical sunsets.
Udawalawe National Park
Udawalawe is known for its wide, open grasslands. It is one of the best places to see big herds of elefants up close.
